• It’s been fantastic to see this project come to life in Rottingdean, Brighton, a landscape design that celebrates the village’s rich cultural heritage.

Commissioned by Rottingdean Parish Council and Fairfax Properties, our proposal takes inspiration from the stunning stained glass windows of St Margaret’s Church, created by Edward Burne-Jones and Morris & Co.

We’ve reimagined their beauty through gabion baskets filled with varying aggregates coloured and glass stones, capturing the play of light and texture in the landscape itself.

The design also nods to the iconic Beacon Mill, its sweeping form and orientation echoing the mill’s four sails.

A celebration of art, history, and place.
