• We are working with Rowheath Pavilion to bring to life this bold refurbishment and extension of a Grade II listed building that introduces contemporary design with reverence for its historic significance.

The focal point of the project lies in the complete reimagining of the street elevation, where a new and distinctive entrance emerges. The new entrance leads to an expansive foyer serves as that into a dynamic multi-functional space, adaptable to various uses and activities. Its design ethos is rooted in openness, inviting occupants and visitors alike to engage with the building's revealed history.

Strategic glazing solutions play a pivotal role in connecting the interior with the exterior, offering glimpses of the original pavilion facade from the street and framing views of the surrounding parkland. A judicious placement of glazed panels within the new roof ensures the infusion of natural light deep into the plan, illuminating the farthest reaches of the foyer and terrace room, thus enhancing the spatial experience, and fostering a sense of openness.

This refurbishment and extension endeavour to not only breathe new life into a cherished heritage asset but also to forge a contemporary architectural expression that resonates with the spirit of innovation and inclusivity.
